In a proactive move aimed at addressing the issue of unemployment, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a significant employment drive by distributing over 51,000 appointment letters to newly recruited candidates during the 'Rozgar Mela' event. This nationwide job fair unfolded at 37 different locations across the country and encompassed recruitments in various sectors, including central government departments and those in supporting states and Union Territories.
The successful candidates will be stepping into roles within a multitude of departments, such as railways, posts, home affairs, revenue, education, health, and family welfare, among others. Since its launch in October of the previous year, the 'Rozgar Mela' campaign has been making commendable progress, with the distribution of job letters to 5.5 lakh individuals, marking a substantial stride towards the government's ambitious goal of providing 10 lakh government jobs.
