In a sharp exchange of words, the Congress has responded to PM Narendra Modi's recent comments about the INDIA bloc parties, accusing him of using a government function to criticize the opposition. Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh, on Thursday criticized the Prime Minister's remarks, calling them abusive and reiterated the allegations of the INDIA alliance being labeled as "Ghamandia" parties.
"The PM is back to doing what he does best-insult. He repeated his abuse of INDIA parties as so-called Ghamandia parties," Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said on X. Ramesh further commented that it was ironic for the Prime Minister to make such statements, considering his own behavior during government functions. He suggested that Modi should introspect before criticizing others and accused him of leading the "GA-NDA coalition," referring to Gautam Adani's NDA.

Look, who’s talking! The man who uses the occasion of a govt function to abuse the Opposition. Stooping to his level, one could easily say he heads the GA-NDA…
The Congress has been targeting the BJP over the Adani issue, alleging that the Prime Minister has failed to initiate a probe into allegations of irregularities and stock price manipulation involving the Adani Group, despite evidence presented in a US research report.
Prime Minister Modi had labeled the opposition INDIA alliance as "ghamandia" during an event in Madhya Pradesh, accusing them of wanting to destroy Sanatan Dharma. He pointed to their recent meeting in Mumbai and alleged that they lacked policies, issues, or strong leadership, instead harboring a hidden agenda against Sanatan Dharma.
These remarks by the Prime Minister came in response to comments made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who criticized Sanatan Dharma for being against social justice, and A Raja, another DMK leader, who compared it to diseases such as leprosy.
