PM Modi slams TMC's 'Bloody Game' in Panchayat Elections; Mamata hits back with fiery audio response

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the regional Panchayat Raj conference in Kolaghat, stressing the importance of Eastern India's development. However, his speech also saw strong criticism aimed at the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for their alleged role in the violence during the Panchayat elections. Modi condemned the reported violence that marred the Panchayat elections, accusing the TMC of orchestrating a "bloody game." He highlighted the alleged mistreatment of women and tribals during the elections, even as he acknowledged the faith the people of Bengal have placed in the BJP.

In response to PM Modi's allegations, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee released an audio statement where she strongly criticized the Prime Minister. She stated that he was making baseless allegations without evidence, while pointing out that 17 people were reportedly killed by BJP supporters in Bengal. She urged him to introspect before blaming others.

Trinamool spokesperson Dr. Shashi Panja also responded to PM Modi's statements, dismissing them as a result of BJP's inability to accept their defeat. She asserted that the BJP's agitation stems from their rejection by the public in the 2021 and 2023 elections.
