Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the 100th episode of radio show 'Mann Ki Baat' will interact with fishermen of Digha in East Midnapore district of West Bengal on Sunday to draw attention to the plight of fishermen.
According to sources, there is a wave of happiness among the fishermen of the sea town of Digha.
In 'Mann Ki Baat', he hears the pros and cons of the residents of 12 states across the country. This program will start on Sunday from 9:30 am.
BJP workers from various states have started preparing for the programme. Kanthi Organizational District BJP Vice President Aseem Mishra said, “We are very proud. During the Mann Ki Baat programme, the Prime Minister will speak to the fishermen of Digha, the only beach town of West Bengal. He will meet the fishermen through a virtual medium. it feels so good."
The fishermen expressed their excitement and said that they had only heard about the Prime Minister until now, but this would be the first time they would interact with the Prime Minister "directly".
PM Modi usually shares his views on climate change, agriculture, arts, culture and health through his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme, but this will be the first time he will listen to the fishermen's issues.
