PM Modi visits Tamil Nadu's Sri Ranganathaswamy temple, receives 'Sadari' blessing

Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a spiritual sojourn at Tamil Nadu's historic Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, donning traditional Tamil attire during his visit. Clad in a spotless 'veshti' (dhothi) and an angawastram (a shawl), PM Modi fervently worshipped at the Lord Vishnu temple. In a moment of divine connection, temple priests bestowed upon him the 'Sadari' (Crown), symbolizing the blessings of Lord Vishnu.

The PM extended his prayers at various 'sannadhis,' including those dedicated to Vaishnavite saint-guru Sri Ramanujacharya and Sri Chakkarathazhwar. The ancient Srirangam temple, a testament to Tamil Nadu's rich heritage, holds significance as an island sanctuary at the confluence of the Cauvery and Kollidam rivers, often referred to as 'Boologa Vaikuntam' or 'Vaikuntam on earth.'
