No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
The investigation into the attack on Khan Sir’s Khan Global Studies coaching institute in Patna took a fresh turn after a video circulated on social media allegedly showed one of the educator’s bodyguards firing shots into the air. Following the emergence of the video, a police team visited the coaching institute and office premises and detained two security guards for questioning. The action comes in connection with the vandalism and firing incident that occurred at the coaching centre within the Kadamkuan police station area on Tuesday night.
According to police, Khan Sir had initially alleged vandalism at the coaching centre and an assault on a security guard. However, questions arose after the alleged firing incident was neither highlighted in his statements nor mentioned in the FIR. Investigators have now begun examining the role of the security personnel and are verifying the authenticity of the viral video. Police are also seeking to determine the circumstances under which the alleged firing took place and whether it was linked to the attack on the institute.
In a separate development, police have arrested three individuals in connection with the attack after analysing CCTV footage. Among those arrested is Roshan Anand, identified as the director of another coaching institute. According to police officials, raids are underway to apprehend four to five additional accused persons. Investigators are examining whether the incident stemmed from professional rivalry between coaching institutes or was part of a broader conspiracy. A heavy police deployment remains in place in the area as the investigation continues.
