A routine vehicle inspection in Ranchi turned violent today as a police driver sustained severe head injuries after being struck by a fleeing vehicle. The incident occurred in the Morhabadi area during a standard check conducted by local law enforcement. When officers signaled for a Mahindra Thar to pull over, the driver ignored the command, accelerated, and struck police driver Rajesh Yadav.
Following the collision, the motorist fled the scene at high speed. Emergency responders immediately transported Yadav to a nearby hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment for critical injuries. Authorities have launched a wide-scale investigation to track down the vehicle and its driver. Officials are presently reviewing local CCTV footage from the Morhabadi vicinity to identify the culprit.
