Police foiled a major robbery in the city. The police of Ecopark police station has arrested 4 miscreants including robbery tools.
According to police sources, last night the Ecopark police received a report that several suspects were loitering near the Newtown City Center petrol pump with the intention of looting.. After getting information from a secret source, the police raided the spot. Seeing the police, the suspect started running away. Police chased and caught them.
After questioning, the police came to know that they had gathered in Newtown area for the purpose of robbery. Later the suspect were arrested by the police of Eco Park police station. Multiple robbery tools were recovered from the arrested. The houses of the arrested are in Newtown and Rajarhat areas.
Today, the arrested will be taken to Barasat court.
