Police foils robbery bid in salt lake, 4 arrested

According to police sources, the police of Bidhannagar North Police Station came to know that 7 to 8 people had gathered suspiciously in the area adjacent to Golaghata Foot Bridge in Salt Lake late last night. When the police reached the spot, the suspects ran away after seeing them. Finally, the police of Bidhannagar North Police Station chased them and arrested 4 people.

During police interrogation, they admitted that they had planned a robbery in the Salt Lake area. Police of Bidhannagar North police station recovered several items from them including a firearm with one round of bullets, iron rod, knife, and lock breaker. The names of the accused are Hashem Ali Mollah, Sirajul Ghazi, Swapan Sarkar, Rajen Daloi.

According to police sources, there have been more allegations of robbery and theft in the name of these accused in Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate and various Police Commissionerate areas. In addition, the main accused Hashem Ali Mollah is also involved in spreading various types of terrorism.

Today the accused will be produced in Bidhannagar court. According to police sources, the police will request to take them into custody. Bidhannagar North police station is searching for the rest of this gang.
