Police seize ₹10 lakh from car at Jharkhand-West Bengal border

During a routine checkpoint inspection at the Jharkhand-West Bengal border in Maithon, the Maithon police station intercepted a blue Hyundai car, bearing registration number JH10 BZ5841, and discovered ₹10 lakh in cash. The vehicle was entering Dhanbad, Jharkhand, from the West Bengal side, with two individuals identified as Sanjeev Yadav and Manoj Hadi, managers of Hemanta Simka Truck Showroom located in Barwada, onboard.

The cash, suspected to be showroom funds, was being transported from Barak, West Bengal, prompting police intervention. The seized cash has since been handed over to the Income Tax Department, with investigations initiated by law enforcement officials.
