Investigators on Wednesday took former Federation president Swarup Biswas to Technicians’ Studio as part of an ongoing investigation into multiple allegations against him. Currently in police custody, Biswas has been undergoing extensive questioning, with investigators examining documents, records, financial transactions and other materials linked to the case. The visit to Technicians’ Studio marked the third location inspection conducted with him since his arrest.
Police have been reconstructing events and verifying information connected to the investigation by visiting locations considered significant to the case. Earlier, investigators took Biswas to his residence in New Alipore and later to Suruchi Sangha. On Wednesday, the investigation team continued that process by visiting Technicians’ Studio, where they inspected various parts of the premises and questioned Biswas regarding matters connected to the probe.
According to sources, investigators believe the studio may contain information related to the Federation’s administrative functioning, decision-making processes and the roles of individuals associated with the organization. During the visit, officers reportedly examined relevant areas of the premises and sought clarifications from Biswas regarding documents, activities and organizational matters under scrutiny.
Multiple allegations have surfaced against Swarup Biswas from within the Bengali film and television industry, and several complaints have reportedly been filed. Investigators are continuing to collect evidence, verify records and examine materials connected to those allegations. The visits to New Alipore, Suruchi Sangha and Technicians’ Studio form part of the ongoing effort to gather information and establish the sequence of events relevant to the investigation.
