Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Political activity has intensified in West Bengal, with both major parties stepping up grassroots engagement. While the ruling Trinamool Congress is reaching out to households to highlight its development work on the lines of the Duare Sarkar programme, the Bharatiya Janata Party has begun large-scale preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming public rally.
A massive rally addressed by Prime Minister Modi is scheduled for Saturday, January 17. To ensure strong public participation, BJP MP from North Malda Khagen Murmu has taken charge of the arrangements and has been touring different parts of the district, personally inviting residents to attend the event.
As part of the outreach, BJP MLA from Malda Assembly constituency Gopal Saha, along with former state president of the BJP OBC Morcha Ajit Das, conducted a door-to-door campaign in the Sahapur Shiv Mandir area of Old Malda on Tuesday. BJP leaders distributed invitation leaflets and urged locals to attend the rally and hear the Prime Minister’s address.
