BSP supremo Mayawati on Sunday asked the ruling parties to bow down to Sant Ravidas not only for their narrow political interests but also to follow the path shown by him. Her words were uttered on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the mystic poet and reformer Sant Ravidas.
"These judgments should not bow down to saint Guru Ravidas ji just for their narrow political interests, but at the same time should take special care of his sentiments, the sufferings of his followers and work for their welfare. This is a true tribute to him," she tweeted in Hindi.
"On the birth anniversary of the great saint Guru Ravidas ji who gave the immortal spiritual message of 'Man Changa Kathoti Mein Ganga' (pure, all is pure) to all people. I pay my respects to him and all his followers living in the country," she added.
