The President of India, Draupadi Murmu, has accepted the resignations of Bhagat Singh Koshyari as the Governor of Maharashtra and Radha Krishnan Mathur as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh. Along with these resignations, the President has made major changes in 13 states and union territories.
Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais has been appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra, while former Union Minister Shiv Pratap Shukla has been appointed as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh and Gulab Chand Kataria as the Governor of Assam. Brigadier (Retd) BD Mishra, who was previously serving as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, has been appointed as the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh.
Lieutenant General Kaivalya Trivikram Parnaik has been appointed as the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Anusuiya Uikey as the Governor of Chhattisgarh, and L. Ganesan, who was previously serving as the Governor of Manipur, has been appointed as the Governor of Nagaland. Fagu Chauhan has been appointed as the Governor of Meghalaya, Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar as the Governor of Bihar, and Ramesh Bais has also been appointed as the Governor of Jharkhand.
In addition to these appointments, Laxman Prasad Acharya has been appointed as the Governor of Sikkim, CP Radhakrishnan as the Governor of Jharkhand, Retired Justice S. Abdul Nazir as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, and Biswa Bhushan Harichandan as the Governor of Chhattisgarh. These appointments reflect the President's vision to bring experienced and capable leaders to the forefront, who can work towards the development and progress of their respective states and union territories.
