A high-speed private bus in Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, lost control and crashed into a divider on the footpath early on Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred as the bus was attempting to overtake another bus near Dorina crossing while heading towards Babughat. Fortunately, there were no pedestrians on the footpath at that time, preventing a major accident.
The bus, operating on route number 205, was carrying passengers, but no serious injuries were reported.
The collision resulted in damage to the pavement railing. The Hare Street police have seized the bus and taken the driver into custody.
