Three people sustained serious injuries after a private car lost control, overturned, and plunged into a pond in the Moyna area of Purba Medinipur district on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred while the vehicle was travelling from Balaiponda towards Moyna.
According to available information, the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn before falling into a roadside pond. Local residents rushed to the scene immediately after the accident and began rescue operations to assist the occupants trapped inside the vehicle.
There were four people in the car at the time of the accident. Residents managed to pull the occupants out of the submerged vehicle, and three of them were reported to have sustained serious injuries. The injured were taken to Tamluk Medical College and Hospital for treatment. The identities of the injured have not yet been confirmed, and police have started an investigation into the incident.
