Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A violent clash broke out in the Gobra area of Tapasia over a dispute surrounding Puja donations. Members of the local club, Gobra Ujjwal Sangh, have been accused of assaulting a family after they delayed payment of the contribution.
According to the family, they were attacked with iron rods, bamboo sticks, kicks and punches when they mentioned the delay in giving the donation. The attackers allegedly stormed the shop located below their house and beat up the entire family.
The victims have lodged a complaint at Tapasia police station, claiming that all the accused are affiliated with the Trinamool Congress. They also alleged that the demand for Puja donation was ₹10,000.
Police said the accused are absconding since the incident, while the family remains in fear. The matter has sparked tension in the locality ahead of the festival.
