Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) declared the Class 10 (Matric) examination results for 2026 on Sunday, with an overall pass percentage of 81.79 percent. The results were announced during an official press conference, bringing relief to more than 15 lakh students who appeared for the examinations across the state.
Two students, Pushpanjali Kumari and Parveen, jointly secured the top rank in the state by scoring 492 marks out of 500, achieving an impressive 98.4 percent. Their outstanding performance placed them at the top of the merit list released alongside the results. Nahid Sultana from Begusarai secured the second rank with 489 marks, while Anupa Kumari and Om Kumar shared the third position with 488 marks. Several other students also scored exceptionally high marks, reflecting intense competition among candidates in the merit list.
The results and provisional marksheets have been made available online through the official BSEB portals, where students can access their scorecards using their roll code and roll number. The examinations were conducted earlier this year at hundreds of centres across Bihar, with lakhs of students participating.
