R Madhavan feels 'humbled' as son Vedaant bags 5 golds in Khelo India 2023

R Madhavan is a proud father right now. The actor, whose son Vedaant is garnering national recognition in swimming, is celebrating his success at the recent Khelo India Games 2023. Madhavan took to his Instagram to share the news of his son winning five gold and two silver medals in the game. 

R Madhavan took to Instagram to congratulate Team Maharashtra and his son Vedaant for their achievement in the Khelo India Games 2023. Sharing pictures, the Rocketry actor wrote, “CONGRATULATIONS team Maharashtra for the 2 trophy’s ..1 for boys team Maharashtra in swimming & 2nd THE OVERALL Championship Trophy for Maharashtra in entire khelo games. Blown by and VERY grateful and humbled by the performances and achievements of @fernandes_apeksha ( 6 golds, 1 silver, PB and records) and @vedaantmadhavan (5golds and 2 silver). Thank you @ansadxb and Pradeep sir for the unwavering efforts and Govt of Madhya Pradesh @chouhanshivrajsingh Ji and @official.anuragthakur Ji . So happy and Proud."

Vedaant had earlier talked about why he won't start behaving like his father. In an interview, Vedaant said, “I didn’t wanna live under my dad’s shadow. I wanted to make name for myself. I didn’t want to be just R Madhavan son.”

The star kid also opened up on the sacrifices his parents have made for him. “They are always looking after me. Both put so much effort. One of the main sacrifices my parents made was to shift to Dubai,” he said. A few years ago, R Madhavan and his family moved to Dubai to facilitate his son Vedaanth's preparation for the Olympics.
