Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, during the ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' in Assam, made strong allegations against the Himanta Biswa Sarma-led BJP government, stating it to be the "most corrupt" in the country. Gandhi, addressing party workers in Sivasagar district, condemned both the ruling BJP and its ideological counterpart RSS, accusing them of spreading hatred and misappropriating public funds.
The Congress leader vowed to prioritize Assam's issues throughout the yatra, countering BJP's claims that such initiatives wouldn't benefit the Congress. The yatra, covering 6,713 km and led by Gandhi, commenced from Manipur on January 14 and is scheduled to conclude on March 20 in Mumbai. The Assam leg of the yatra will extend until January 25.
