Rahul Gandhi, at a poll rally in Neemuch district, targeted the BJP government, declaring Madhya Pradesh as the nation's "corruption capital." Referring to a viral video involving Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar's son, Gandhi accused BJP leaders of looting public funds and causing financial losses to the people of the state. Promising a caste census if the Congress comes to power, Gandhi outlined key commitments, including providing LPG cylinders at ₹500, waiving farmers' loans up to ₹2 lakh, ensuring a minimum support price (MSP) of ₹2,600 for wheat (rising to ₹3,000), and offering free electricity up to 100 units.
He also highlighted the issue of farmer suicides in the state, blaming the BJP for undermining the Congress-led government's efforts to address the crisis. As Madhya Pradesh gears up for polls on November 17, with results on December 3, Gandhi's statements underscore the intense political dynamics in the state.
