Rahul Gandhi talks with Mamata Banerjee, sets November agenda for 'INDIA' alliance

The forthcoming meeting of INDIA, the opposition alliance aimed at challenging the Narendra Modi government at the Center, is anticipated to take place in the early days of November. Prior to this crucial gathering, Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Indian National Congress, engaged in a conversation with Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal and the Trinamool Congress's leading figure.

A senior Trinamool Congress representative confirmed this development on Wednesday, revealing that Rahul Gandhi initiated the call on Tuesday evening.

In addition to Rahul Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and NCP leader Sharad Pawar also held separate discussions with Mamata Banerjee on the same day. These interactions sought to determine the most suitable date for the upcoming alliance meeting. In response, Mamata Banerjee conveyed her availability only after the conclusion of Durga Puja and Lakshmi Puja. Consequently, she suggested November 4 and 5 as potential dates for the alliance's next significant gathering.
