Kolkata Airport makes history by welcoming first Giant Airbus Beluga XL
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi restarted the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Sunday, following a two-day break. The journey recommenced with Rahul Gandhi's arrival at Bagdogra, from where he proceeded to Jalpaiguri to continue the yatra. Landing at Bagdogra airport, Rahul Gandhi refrained from commenting on the ongoing political developments in Bihar, including the resignation of Nitish Kumar. Despite the political silence, he received a warm welcome from Congress supporters at the airport.
Tensions flared during the welcome as a heated argument unfolded between the police and Congress supporters. Allegations have surfaced that posters of Rahul's yatra were strategically placed in various locations in Jalpaiguri, and Congress supporters were reportedly hindered from participating in the yatra. This year's Nyay Yatra is marked by a daily padyatra and the 'Donate for Justice' campaign, allowing contributions of a minimum of one paisa per kilometer through QR code scanning. Donors have the opportunity to receive a T-shirt signed by Rahul Gandhi, and those contributing more than Rs 67,000 will be awarded a grand kit along with a certificate from AICC.
