Police removes Rahul, Priyanka, other Congress leaders from dharna site near PM Modi's residence
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi held a protest outside Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence on Tuesday, demanding the immediate resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The protest follows mounting controversy surrounding examination irregularities and police action against student demonstrators. Both leaders sat in protest near the Prime Minister's residence to press for accountability from the central government.
Prior to the protest near the PM's residence, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi visited Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital in New Delhi. They met with students and demonstrators who sustained injuries during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) protest march held on Monday. The CJP demonstration was organized to raise concerns over exam paper leaks and issues within the national testing system.
The Congress leaders strongly criticized the government's response to the student demonstrations, reiterating their demand for ministerial accountability regarding competitive exam management. They urged the Prime Minister to address the grievances of affected students directly and take immediate steps to resolve the ongoing examination crisis.
