The initiative to transform NJP station into a world-class railway station has taken a significant step forward as the Railway authorities, led by Katihar Division ADRM Sanjay Chilwarwar, commenced the removal of shops from the platform.
This move comes after the removal of all shops from the station premises, marking a crucial phase in the beautification process. On Friday, with the presence of RPF and GRPF soldiers, a targeted campaign resulted in the demolition of 10 shops on the platform.
ADRM Sanjay Chilwarwar emphasized that this action is part of the broader efforts to enhance the aesthetics of NJP station, with approximately 40-42 shops on the platform slated for removal in subsequent phases.
