Track maintenance work will cause disruptions in the Howrah-Barddhaman section in Kolkata for 8 days starting from April 20, 2023
The maintenance work will result in a 120-minute traffic block each day from 10:35 am to 12:35 pm
Passengers travelling on the 12347 UP Howrah-Rampurhat Express and 36827 Howrah-Barddhaman Local (Via Chord) trains will face delays of 25 and 15 minutes, respectively, on certain days
Starting from Thursday, April 20, 2023, railway commuters travelling on the Howrah-Barddhaman section in Kolkata may face disruptions in their daily routine as track maintenance work has been planned for eight consecutive days.
The maintenance work will take place between Belur-Bally stations and will cause a traffic block for 120 minutes each day, from 10:35 am to 12:35 pm.
As a result of the traffic block, the 12347 UP Howrah-Rampurhat Express and 36827 Howrah-Barddhaman Local (Via Chord) trains will be controlled suitably for 25 minutes and 15 minutes respectively, en route on April 20, 21, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28 and 30, 2023.
The railway authorities have urged commuters to plan their journey accordingly and have apologised for any inconvenience caused during the maintenance work. The decision to conduct the maintenance work has been taken to ensure the safety and smooth functioning of the railway system.
