The South Central Railway (SCR) has suspended a Travelling Ticket Examiner (TTE) for allegedly allowing an unauthorized decorator to enter a First AC coach of the Nandigram Express. The incident took place during a journey on July 6, when a couple travelling in a First AC coupe decided to customize their compartment. The couple had privately hired a professional decorator through an online marketplace platform to adorn their train compartment with celebratory materials while in transit.
According to an official release issued by the SCR zone, the decorator boarded the Train No. 11002 Nandigram Express at Jalna station to execute the decoration work. Railway authorities heavily flagged this boarding as an unauthorized entry, classifying it as a major breach of standard security protocols inside premium passenger coaches. The issue escalated rapidly after a video showcasing the thoroughly decorated train coupe went viral across multiple social media platforms.
Following the public circulation of the viral footage, railway administration initiated swift punitive measures against the onboard staff. The ticket checker deployed on the train was placed under immediate suspension, and a formal departmental inquiry was ordered into the operational lapse. The South Central Railway stated that strict disciplinary action will be taken against any remaining employees found responsible upon completion of the official probe.
