Raipur-bound IndiGo flight returns to Indore due to technical snag

An IndiGo flight (6E-7295) carrying 51 passengers en route to Raipur was forced to return to Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport shortly after takeoff on Tuesday morning due to a technical fault. The aircraft, which departed Indore around 6:35 AM, had traveled approximately 60 nautical miles before the pilot identified the issue.

According to Vipinkant Seth, Director of Indore's Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport, the pilot promptly informed Air Traffic Control (ATC) after detecting the technical snag, leading to the decision to return to the origin airport. Seth clarified that despite the swift return, the aircraft did not make an "emergency landing," though he did not provide specific details about the nature of the technical fault.

All 51 passengers on board were reported safe upon the plane's return to Indore. The airline is expected to make alternative arrangements for the affected passengers to reach their destination. This incident marks another instance of flights encountering technical issues, highlighting the rigorous safety protocols followed by airlines to prioritize passenger well-being.
