Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma takes charge: keeps 8 Ministries, Diya Kumari leads finance

Rajasthan's newly appointed Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has allocated portfolios, retaining control over eight ministries, including Home. The announcement comes 15 days after the BJP formed the new government, with many first-time ministers taking key roles.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari, representing the Vidhyadhar Nagar seat and belonging to the Jaipur royal family, has been entrusted with the Finance, Tourism, and Public Works Department (PWD) portfolios.

The allocation of responsibilities underscores the careful consideration given by the BJP, potentially contributing to the delay in the announcement."It is the responsibility of the officers, employees and all of us to serve the people of Rajasthan. The Constitution also says that whatever responsibility you have, fulfil it properly... These five years are very important for Rajasthan," Mr Rathore said in Jaipur.
