As the retirement of West Bengal Chief Secretary and Director General of Police (DGP) approaches on December 31, the state government has made significant announcements regarding key appointments in these crucial positions.
The government has appointed Rajiv Kumar as the Director General of West Bengal Police, while Gopalika Bhandari is set to assume the role of Chief Secretary, succeeding the current Chief Secretary, H.K. Dwivedi. It's noteworthy that Chief Secretary H.K. Dwivedi is already serving on an extension, granted by the government on June 28 earlier this year.
