Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
Actor Rajpal Yadav surrendered before authorities after the Delhi high court declined to grant him relief in multiple cheque bounce cases. Following the court’s decision, he was taken into custody and sent to Tihar jail, marking a significant legal setback for the actor. The cases stem from dishonoured cheques related to financial transactions, for which lower courts had earlier issued orders against Yadav. He had approached the high court seeking protection from coercive action, arguing for interim relief while the matters were under consideration.
The high court, however, refused to intervene, effectively upholding the existing orders. With no relief granted, Yadav complied with the legal process and surrendered, leading to his immediate transfer to Tihar jail as per procedure.
The development brings renewed attention to the long-running legal disputes involving the actor. The cheque bounce cases will continue to be dealt with by the concerned courts in accordance with law, while Yadav remains subject to judicial proceedings.
