After facing several challenges along the way, Suvir Nath, the editor of the highly anticipated film 'Oh My God-2', expresses his excitement as the movie is finally set to hit screens next month.

Directed by Amit Rai, 'OMG 2' is the sequel to the super hit satirical comedy 'OMG', which starred Paresh Rawal in the lead role. While the first installment centered around the country's spiritual institutions, 'OMG 2' takes a bold step to shed light on the topic of sex education. The film boasts an impressive cast, including Pankaj Tripathi, Akshay Kumar, Govind Namdeo, and Yami Gautam in lead roles.

Suvir Nath's journey to 'Oh My God-2' has been marked by diverse experiences. Having spent over a decade and a half honing his skills as an editor, he ventured into directing and producing. His first short film, "Bol Golu Bol," garnered recognition in numerous national and international short film festivals and was telecast on Doordarshan. Further, Nath helmed corporate films and commercials for esteemed brands, showcasing his versatile talents.

A graduate in English Literature from the University of Delhi, Suvir Nath also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Film and TV Editing from the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. His impressive body of editorial work spans various mediums, including films, TV, commercials, documentaries, web series, corporate films, and music videos. Notably, his debut feature film as an editor, 'Road to Sangam,' earned 20 national and international accolades, establishing him as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

One of his exceptional projects, the short film "Rewind," garnered international acclaim when it was screened at the esteemed Locarno International Film Festival and won the Grand Jury Prize at the Seattle and Victoria Film Festivals. This unique work is hailed as the world's first true reverse film and has graced over 100 international film festivals, including Montreal, Tampere, Brussels, Palm Springs, and Milan. Its global appeal led to an international DVD release by Indieflix and a digital worldwide release by iTunes USA, making it a trailblazer for Indian short films on the international stage. It also achieved the distinction of being longlisted for the Oscars and premiered in Indian cinemas, captivating audiences.

In the realm of documentary filmmaking, Suvir Nath's "When the Sun Didn't Rise That Day," which delves into the Sikh riots of 1984, earned him the prestigious Best Investigative Documentary award at the National Film Awards 2018. His co-produced and edited short film "Teen Adhyay" premiered at the renowned International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa in 2021, gaining further recognition. Moreover, he clinched the "Best Editor" award at the 2019 Jharkhand International Film Festival for his feature film titled "Vartak Nagar."
