Rashmika Mandanna becomes first Indian actress with 3 consecutive ₹500 crore blockbusters

Rashmika Mandanna has become the first Indian actress to have three consecutive films cross the ₹500 crore mark at the box office. Her latest film, Chhaava, directed by Laxman Utekar and starring Vicky Kaushal as Maratha ruler Sambhaji Maharaj, has earned over ₹503.3 crore in India within 23 days of release. The film, based on the Marathi novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant, features Rashmika as Yesubai Bhonsale and Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.

With Chhaava entering the ₹500 crore club, Rashmika Mandanna has surpassed Deepika Padukone, who previously held the record with Pathaan and Jawan. Before this, Rashmika's Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, earned ₹505 crore in Hindi and ₹556 crore across all languages, while Pushpa 2: The Rule collected ₹830 crore worldwide, making it the third-highest-grossing Indian film.

Chhaava has also outpaced Gadar 2, which reached ₹500 crore in 24 days, by achieving the milestone in just 23 days. The film continues to perform strongly, with a fourth-weekend total expected to cross ₹525 crore. According to reports, Chhaava earned ₹13.5 crore on its 23rd day, maintaining a steady box office run.

Speaking about the film, Vicky Kaushal stated at a promotional event, "Mere liye mera saubhagya hai ki mujhe Chhatrapati Maharaj ka role nibhaane ka mauka mila. I am very grateful to Laxman Utekar and Dinesh Vijay Sir for choosing me for this role." The historical action drama has been well received by audiences, with praise for performances and the on-screen chemistry between Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna.

Rashmika is now set to appear in multiple upcoming projects, including Sikandar alongside Salman Khan, Thama, Kubera, The Girlfriend, and Pushpa 3: The Rampage. With three back-to-back ₹500 crore films, industry experts are closely watching whether she will continue her record-breaking streak with her next releases.
