All seems not well between Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and his deputy Tejashwi Yadav, after JD-U president Lalan Singh's statement that there is no decision on the leader for 2025, as an incident during the Kisan Samagam held at Bapu Sabhagar here on Tuesday indicated.
The program was scheduled to start at 11 am and Nitish Kumar arrived at the right time and sat in the chair reserved for him. Other ministers and officials were present, but the deputy CM's chair next to him was empty.
As per protocol Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav has to come much earlier than Chief Minister but here in Kisan Samagam Nitish Kumar came at right time but Tejashwi Yadav didn't. Nitish Kumar looked towards the entrance from time to time early to see if Tejashwi Yadav was coming. He also once lost his cool and punched a farmer who was delivering his proposal from the podium and using English words. Tejashwi Yadav finally reached the spot at 1 pm. and sat down in the chair reserved for him.
Sources claim that Tejashwi Yadav came late on purpose to send a message to Nitish Kumar after Lalan Singh's statement.
Lalan Singh on Monday said that Nitish Kumar will be the Chief Minister till 2025 and the face of the CM Mahagathbandhan for the 2025 assembly elections is yet to be decided. Following a statement by Lalan Singh, JD-U National General Secretary K.C. Tyagi went a step ahead and told media in Delhi that Nitish Kumar will lead Bihar not only in 2025 but also in 2030.
Lalan Singh's statement came soon after Upendra Kushwaha resigned from the primary membership of the JD-U to express his disapproval of Nitish Kumar's announcement that he would hand over his political legacy to Tejashwi Yadav. Nitish Kumar has also announced several times that Tejashwi Yadav will be the face of CM Mahagathbandhan in 2025.
