Parade begins at Red Road to celebrate India's 76th Republic Day
The Trinamool Congress appears to be facing internal strife in Nadia as six party MLAs have formally written to Chief Minister and party supremo Mamata Banerjee, demanding the removal of Mahua Moitra from her position as the Krishnanagar district organizational president.
The MLAs, including Ujjwal Vishwas, Rukbanur Rahman, Bimalendu Sinha, and Kallol Khan, have accused Moitra of forming a parallel organization in every assembly and being inaccessible for local organizational work. They claim that her focus on Delhi has led her to neglect her responsibilities in the parliamentary constituency. The letter, also sent to Trinamool State Committee President Subrata Bakshi, highlights the growing frustration among the MLAs, who assert that they are willing to accept any other leader in Moitra’s place. The MLAs allege that Moitra’s lack of communication and collaboration has created hurdles for local organizational activities.
In response, Mahua Moitra countered the allegations, stating that the MLAs did not adequately support her during the elections.
