The historical action drama, produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, is a collaborative effort with Deshmukh's wife, Genelia, serving as a producer. Genelia conveyed that narrating Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's life story has been their profound dream, seeking to enrich cultural and historical narratives through "Raja Shivaji."
