Former IPS officer R N Ravi was sworn in as the 22nd Governor of West Bengal at a ceremony held at Lok Bhavan in Kolkata on Thursday morning. The oath of office was administered by Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court, Sujoy Paul.

He previously held gubernatorial positions in Nagaland, Meghalaya and Tamil Nadu and also served as deputy National Security Advisor before entering constitutional office.
