Police have achieved a major breakthrough in the sensational robbery case reported from the Manipur area under Sandeshkhali police station in North 24 Parganas district. Within 48 hours of the incident, officers arrested the entire gang involved and recovered the stolen jewellery and cash.
According to reports, the robbery took place on the night of January 31 when a housewife was alone at her residence. Six armed miscreants allegedly broke open the door, assaulted the woman and looted gold and silver jewellery along with cash before fleeing the spot.. Hearing the victim’s cries, neighbours rushed to the house and immediately informed Sandeshkhali police station. Given the gravity of the crime, police acted swiftly and constituted a special team to investigate the case without delay.
Using forensic clues and intelligence inputs, police conducted a series of raids in Sandeshkhali and nearby districts. The coordinated operation led to the arrest of all the accused and the recovery of the stolen items, bringing relief to the victim and local residents.
