A four-wheel-drive vehicle caught fire on the cabway of the Second Hooghly Bridge, opposite Nabanna, causing severe traffic disruption on the Howrah–Kolkata route. Following the incident, traffic movement slowed to a crawl, leading to long queues on both sides of the bridge. After receiving the alert, a fire engine rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control after considerable effort, restoring partial normalcy to the stretch.
