NIA searches Saokat Molla’s home and party office, son questioned in Bhangar blast case
A restaurant worker suffered burn injuries after his employer allegedly poured hot oil on him in Salt Lake’s Electronics Complex area. Police confirmed that the accused hotel owner, identified as Naresh Kumar Rai, was arrested following a written complaint.
The incident took place around 8:30 pm on Monday when a customer was mistakenly served the wrong dish. The victim, identified as 25-year-old Sekendar Kumar Rai from Dhanjara in Bihar, was employed at the hotel. During the altercation, the owner allegedly poured hot cooking oil on him, causing injuries to several parts of his body.
Local residents rushed the injured staff to a nearby hospital, where he received initial treatment. On Tuesday, a formal complaint was lodged at Electronics Complex Police Station. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused. Investigation into the incident is currently underway.
