Before leaving for Delhi, state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya launched a scathing attack on the Mamata Banerjee government, alleging that the Chief Minister is driving the final nail into the coffin of migrant Bengalis across the country. He claimed that people are being provoked in the name of SIR (Special Investigation Report).
In response, Trinamool MP Saayoni Ghosh hit back, saying that Mamata Banerjee appears even in Shamik Bhattacharya's dreams, which is why he constantly chants her name. She added that the BJP is frustrated due to its fear of electoral defeat.
