Sangrami Joint Forum announces State Secretariat Navan Gherao Abhiyan on May 4

The Sangrami Joint Forum, a united platform of government employee organizations, has announced plans to intensify their movement on the demand for Dearness Allowance (DA).

The group has declared that a State Secretariat Navan Gherao Abhiyan will be organized on May 4, as previous talks between the representatives of agitating employees and government officials held on Friday were inconclusive.

According to a spokesperson for the coordination committee, a bike rally demanding DA will be held on April 27, followed by a two-day protest on April 28-29 at district headquarters. The demands of the movement include issues such as recruitment for government vacancies, transparency in recruitment, and the appointment of contract workers to permanent positions. The coordination committee has asserted that the agitation will continue until their demands are met.

In addition to these efforts, the leaders of the United Forum have decided to protest symbolically by returning Rs 36 per month to the treasury. The group claims that the state government should immediately pay 36 percent of their DA dues.

The movement's leaders have emphasized that their struggle is not limited to the demand for DA, but is also focused on broader issues affecting government employees. The Sangrami Joint Forum has called on all concerned parties to support their campaign, and they remain determined to see their demands met.
