On World Human Rights Day, an unusual yet eye-catching initiative unfolded on Park Street as Santa Claus himself appeared to repair broken sidewalks to prevent accidents during the upcoming Christmas rush. The repair work began from the Park Street Metro intersection and extended towards the Flurries sidewalk, an area that witnesses heavy footfall during the festive season.
The initiative has been undertaken by the Congress Seva Dal as an innovative public safety drive. With large crowds expected on Christmas Day, the effort aims to ensure smoother pedestrian movement and reduce the risk of injuries caused by damaged pavements.
