Actors Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur visited Kolkata on Thursday as part of the promotional tour for their upcoming film Metro… In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu. The duo started their day with a visit to the Eden Gardens, where they were seen ahead of a Bengal Pro T20 League match. Both actors extended their support to the teams Murshidabad Kings and Kueens.
According to an official update from the Bengal Pro T20 League, “Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur graced Eden Gardens, showing their love and support for Murshidabad Kings and Kueens. Even the rain couldn’t wash away the energy they brought.” The actors spent nearly an hour at the stadium before leaving for a scheduled fan interaction.
Following their Eden Gardens appearance, Sara and Aditya headed to Olive Café & Bar on Shakespeare Sarani, where they interacted with fans as part of the ongoing promotions. Crowds gathered to see the two actors, who are among the lead cast of the film, which is set to release in theatres on July 4.
Later in the evening, the two visited former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly’s residence in Behala. The actors had dinner with Ganguly, where Sara reportedly enjoyed a variety of Bengali dishes including potatoes, fish, mangoes, curd, and sweets. She appreciated Ganguly’s hospitality and mentioned having a memorable conversation with him.
Sara also stated that if offered a role in the upcoming biopic on Sourav Ganguly, she would be willing to act in it.
