A major accident was narrowly avoided in Siliguri today when a private school bus carrying 17 students lost its rear wheels while traveling through the Jalpaiguri More area. The bus, en route from Siliguri to a private school in Fulbari, suddenly lost both rear wheels near Jalpaiguri Chauraha. This caused panic among the students, but no serious injuries were reported. The students sustained only minor bruises and scratches.
Local residents quickly arrived at the scene and assisted the students, while police and emergency responders also reached promptly.
