The incident occurred on April 23 on flight number AI 630. At this time, the woman was given first aid and was consulted by a doctor, and her condition was stated to be stable, the media reported.
The airline confirmed the incident and called it an unfortunate and extremely rare incident. “There was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident involving a scorpion stinging a passenger on board our flight AI 630 on April 23, 2023,” an Air India spokesperson told as per reports.
The woman passenger was immediately administered medical treatment and rushed to a hospital soon after the landing, it added An extensive inspection was carried out of the aircraft upon landing and carried out a fumigation process after finding the scorpion.
