An IndiGo flight travelling from Dibrugarh in Assam to Kolkata made an emergency landing on Saturday evening after a bomb threat message was discovered written with lipstick inside the aircraft’s washroom. The aircraft, flight 6E6894 (A-320), landed safely at 7:37pm at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and was immediately moved to the isolation bay in accordance with established security protocols. All passengers were safely deboarded.

Airport officials confirmed that the aircraft was secured for thorough checks after landing. Security agencies initiated standard operating procedures to assess the credibility of the threat while ensuring passenger safety remained the top priority.

Earlier in the day, another IndiGo flight, 6E3074, scheduled to depart from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport to Shillong, also triggered a bomb scare after a handwritten note claiming the presence of a bomb was found inside the washroom during boarding. Passengers were deboarded and the aircraft was moved to the isolation bay for detailed security checks, marking the second such incident involving the airline in a single day.
