The health check-up of the second Hooghly Setu (Vidyasagar Bridge) has been postponed for the time being. As a result of this, the movement of vehicles on this bridge will not stop on 29th and 30th as per the previously announced agenda.
According to the information received on Thursday, the foreign company which had to check the health of the bridge through machine, has some problem. Information about when the health checkup of the bridge will be done will be given later.
Earlier it was informed by the Kolkata Police Headquarters that the Vidyasagar Bridge would remain closed for inspection, maintenance and repair on the night of April 29, Saturday and April 30, Sunday.
No vehicle will ply on this bridge from 12 noon on Saturday to 6 am on Sunday and from 11 pm on Sunday to 5 am on Monday. Now that guideline has been cancelled.
