A major security breach was reported at the Delhi Legislative Assembly on Monday after a car bearing a Uttar Pradesh registration number forcefully entered the high-security complex. According to officials, the vehicle broke through the iron barrier at Gate No. 2 and managed to access the premises, triggering immediate concern over security arrangements.
The driver reportedly drove towards the office of Speaker Vijender Gupta, where he carried out an unusual act by placing a flower bouquet near the porch. During the incident, ink was also allegedly thrown at the Speaker’s car, further escalating concerns within the Assembly complex. The entire sequence unfolded within minutes, catching security personnel off guard.
Authorities said the unidentified individual managed to flee the premises in the same vehicle after the incident. The breach is being treated as serious, with an investigation launched to identify the driver and determine the motive. Officials are also reviewing security protocols at the Assembly complex to understand how the vehicle managed to penetrate multiple layers of protection.
