Tensions escalate in an upscale housing community in Newtown following a disturbing incident of violence against a security guard, who was brutally assaulted by residents. The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, is currently receiving medical treatment in a hospital, grappling with injuries sustained during the merciless attack.
According to eyewitness accounts and CCTV footage, the assault unfolded late on Monday night when the security guard intervened to drive away several dogs that had entered the premises. Shockingly, instead of cooperation, the guard was met with aggression as Swarnaranki Mukherjee initiated the attack by seizing the guard's own stick and delivering blows. The situation worsened when Anirban Biswas joined in, exacerbating the assault on the defenseless guard.
Despite the availability of clear evidence, frustration mounts among housing residents over perceived police negligence, as the Technocity police allegedly refused to entertain complaints immediately after the incident. Despite subsequent complaints, residents remain incensed by the lack of action taken against the accused perpetrators. However, the whereabouts of Mukherjee and Biswas remain unknown, further fueling apprehension and unease within the community.
